global storyteller focused on climate justice
I’m a storyteller from the frontlines of our climate crisis.
For years, I’ve been drawn to telling stories focused on justice and people creating change across different cultures and international borders. I’ve told stories of people who’ve escaped North Korea, of kids growing up in one of South Africa’s most underestimated neighborhoods, and families who’ve survived conflict in Colombia and are now working to create a future full of peace.
I’ve told stories through photography, through interviewing, through writing, producing videos, or creating immersive multimedia experiences. Whatever it takes to connect people across the globe through the power of a story.
I’m currently seeking to do that for the biggest crisis of our generation: the climate crisis.
Climate affects us all, but not evenly. The ones most vulnerable are rural communities in remote, disaster-prone areas in lower-income countries.
Since 2017, I’ve been working to tell the stories of these communities, amplifying the voices of community members and highlighting their efforts to create change. A large portion of this is through my role in communications at Plant With Purpose, an international nonprofit that plants trees, teaches regenerative agriculture, organizes community savings groups, and promotes spiritual renewal in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Tanzania, Burundi, Mexico, Thailand, the Congo, and Ethiopia.
