Rhys’ mom has got it going on.
It hasn’t been surprising at all that Deanna makes such a great mom. I could’ve told you that she would back when we were 20 and kids were a long way off. But it’s still such a beautiful thing to see.
It’s such an understatement to say that the past two years have been really challenging on us, her especially. They’ve been beautiful, and this year has been really good to us, but that doesn’t mean it has been easy.
But then, I get the treat of seeing Deanna with Rhys every day, finding new protective sides of herself, exercising new mom muscles that have actually been there all along. Then I remember, as long as the road was to get here, it also feels like it’s been prepared for us way ahead of time. Just waiting for us to arrive.
