It takes a village has already gone into effect.
I had some reservations before moving back to San Diego- like the cost of living or the fact that 80° F in mid-November just isn’t right. But we wanted to start a family and we knew that we wanted more of our people around us when that happened.
We’re already realizing the benefit of that.
A MEGA thanks to all the people who’ve chipped in various ways to help make Rhys’ first few days and our transition into parenthood about as smooth as we could’ve hoped for. A few special shoutouts: my mother-in-law Beth for helping with the fussy times and giving us way less to worry about over the past week. Sophie for helping look after the furry big sis while Rhys was arriving. Ivy for helping make sure we’re all fed and being a rad aunt.
There are so many of you who’ve given us items that have already been put to good use, helpful tips, or just good vibes and encouragement.
THANK YOU. I feel the love anybody shows to my kiddo and my family.
