Can’t go over highlights from the past decade without going over the big one in 2015- getting married.
In fact, it does seem like the whole rest of the year took shape around our wedding and the big transition our lives took.
Our wedding was, simply, extremely fun. It felt right for what we wanted- a big celebration among friends where we spent almost the whole time laughing. Finishing it by seeing the flashes of different friends faces at the end was the perfect ending. Being married was actually a pretty nice transition for us. Our friendship had evolved for so long, it felt perfectly natural and just right.
Our summer adventures were basically a constant extension of our honeymoon, which was pretty eclectic. Punta Cana, Hogwarts/Orlando, New Orleans, even pit stops in Alabama and Mississippi (never would’ve predicted those honeymoon sites)- plus Seattle and different campsites around Oregon that year.
I also wrote my first book- If Not For Second Chances. I took a road trip around the South, finally getting to see more of it. And I knocked out the first half of grad school while discovering that I could get an extra degree in Nonprofit Management by staying just one extra quarter.
